2 children dead after tree falls on North Carolina home

Authorities did not identify the children, but said they were 11 and 13 years old.
TRANSYLVANIA COUNTY, N.C. — Two children were killed Sunday after intense storms moving through North Carolina blew down a tree onto their home in Transylvania County.
According to Connestee Fire and Rescue, the tree fell around 3:38 a.m. Sunday morning on Okies Drive near Brevard.
Dispatchers were told the tree had fallen onto a home with children trapped inside.
When firefighters arrived at the home, they found a three-foot-wide tree uprooted through the single-wide trailer.
A man inside the home was pulled out and told firefighters that two children were trapped inside their bedroom.
Firefighters found the two children directly under the tree and other debris at the home.
