Reality TV star Brooke Jowett reveals horror Jetstar Bali flight chaos after woman tries to open aircraft door mid flight

Another Jetstar Bali flight has ended in chaos after a woman tried to open an aircraft door mid flight.
The bizarre and dangerous act happened on Flight JQ34 from Denpasar in Bali to Melbourne on Monday night.
Mid flight, the woman tried to open the door of the aircraft, reportedly because she wanted to sit in a different row with a chair that could recline.
Footage captured on board shows a crowd of people at the front of the aircraft cabin and a man in a singlet, believed to be an off-duty police officer, talking sternly with a woman.
“She’s complaining about the seats,” a passenger says.
“She’s saying she should have been put in a different seat or something like that.”

In another clip, posted to the Instagram page of media personality Jacqueline Felgate, the captain of the flight can be heard apologising for the shocking incident.
“Ladies and gentleman, this is your captain speaking from the front of the cabin,” he says.
“There was a lady down the back of the aircraft who tried to physically open the door.
“She lifted the handle, we’ve got a door warning in the front of the aircraft. So basically the safety of the aircraft, there was a possibility for the door opening in flight.

“The safest course of action was to come back here and return to land … we do apologise for this.
“It’s out of our control, we’re doing the best we can in this unpleasant situation.”
The flight landed safely back in Bali and the woman was detained by Balinese authorities.
Reality TV star Brooke Jowett was on the horror flight with her partner and child.
“S**t show,” she posted to social media.
“260 passengers forced to return back to Bali because of one stuppppid lady.”
She said the chaos unfolded two hours into the flight.
“Flight attendants start running, people start freaking out and we get told to put our seatbelts on immediately,” she said.
“We soon find out we’re heading back to Bali as a passenger decided she no longer wanted to be on the flight and tried forcing open the emergency door mid air.”

Ms Jowett said the woman was arguing with the Jetstar staff about her seat.
“It escalated, she was very unhappy.
“We were an hour into the flight, over the ocean … pretty freaky.
“One of the guys who was sitting in front of us was down near the toilets and he pulled her away from the door as she was trying to open … he was an off-duty police officer apparently, so saved the day. Thank God for that.”
A Jetstar spokeswoman confirmed the incident with NewsWire and said the woman had also abused the flight crew.
“We had an aircraft return to Denpasar last night after a disruptive passenger attempted to open one of the aircraft doors and was abusive to our crew,” the spokeswoman said.
“The safety and welfare of our customers and crew is our top priority and we thank them for the way they responded to the situation.
“This sort of unacceptable behaviour will never be tolerated on our flights.”
The shocking incident comes just days after another Jetstar Bali flight descended into violence, with footage showing one passenger throwing punches at another over the seats.
