List: Charlotte-area rainfall totals from March 5, 2025 storms

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A line of strong-to-severe thunderstorms brought a period of heavy rain and gusty winds to the Carolinas on Wednesday. The line of storms moved through the greater Charlotte area during the typical morning rush hour commute.

Here is a look at how much rainfall fell, according to preliminary rainfall accumulation totals tallied by National Weather Service equipment at regional airports:
