West Australians are being asked to send in their memories of legendary news duo Susannah Carr and Rick Ardon, as they celebrate a record-breaking 40 years of reading the Seven bulletin together.

Ardon and Carr, who did their first broadcast together on January 24, 1985, are the Guinness World Record holders for longest serving news anchor duo, an achievement ratified in 2022.

To mark the 40-year anniversary, viewers can submit stories and memories of Carr and Ardon at 7news.com.au, some of which would be shared on TV or in print

Seven West Media chairman Kerry Stokes AC lead tributes for the duo as they marked their milestone moment.

Their historic achievement is unmatched anywhere in the world and not only speaks to their unwavering dedication to journalism but also the deep connection they have forged with the WA community.

“Since their first bulletin together in 1985, Rick and Susannah have become household names, proving themselves as the trusted source of news for generations of Western Australians,” Mr Stokes said.

“Over the decades their incredible partnership has earnt the trust and loyalty of their viewers, ensuring 7NEWS has remained Perth’s number one nightly bulletin.”
